How we work with partners
Community control shapes how we work with partners and researchers. Partnerships and research at Urapuntja follow simple principles:
- Community consent first. Nothing about us without us.
- Benefit flows back. Research and projects must leave the community stronger, with skills, jobs, evidence and resources.
- Our data, our story. Information about our community belongs to our community (Indigenous data sovereignty). We decide what is collected and how it is used.
- Long relationships. We value partners who stay.
