Your questions
Choose a question to see the answer.
Do you visit the homelands?
Yes. Our clinic team and our social and emotional wellbeing team visit every community every week, including Arlparra.
On these visits we drop off medicines and check on everyone's health and wellbeing.
Do I have to pay?
No. Urapuntja Health Service is fully bulk-billed, so you don't pay to see us.
If you need a service that does cost money, we will talk it through with you first, before it goes ahead.
How do I get my test results?
Our doctor (Medical Officer or GP) checks all results. We get them to you as soon as we can, usually by phone, a home visit, or at an appointment with the doctor or the clinic team.
Will you remind me about check-ups?
Yes, if you agree. We will ask if we can add you to our reminder system. Then we may remind you about check-ups and other care that helps you stay well.
If you don't want reminders, tell a nurse, the doctor or reception.
Can I phone the clinic?
Yes. Reception answers all calls and passes you on to clinic staff when you need them. We return calls as soon as we can, during clinic hours.
Is my health information private?
Yes. Your medical record is private. We keep your health information safe, and only staff who need it can see it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles, Australia's privacy rules.
You can ask reception for a copy of our privacy policy, called the Management of Health Information Policy.
How do I get a copy of my medical record?
Sign a Medical Information Release form. You can get the form from reception.
What are my rights and responsibilities?
Everyone who comes to the clinic has the right to be treated with dignity and respect.
We do not accept violence or aggression toward staff (zero tolerance). Staff may refuse to treat anyone who is violent or aggressive toward them.
No smoking at the clinic, please.
